Director of Real Property Tax Services II - Herkimer County (NY) is seeking applicants for this full-time, permanent position responsible for directing a County advisory tax service and appraisal department.  This is professional and administrative work involving responsibility for providing accurate, timely information and advice on real property tax appraisal, equalization and assessment.  Minimum qualifications require graduation from high school, or equivalency diploma, and six years of full time paid experience in an occupation providing a good knowledge of real property values and the principles, methods and procedures required for the assessment of real property for tax purposes, at least two years of which must have involved the responsibility of planning, organizing and directing a work program.  Also acceptable are possession of an associate's degree and five years of experience, or possession of a bachelor's degree and four years of experience.  Appointment to this position is subject to the approval of qualifications by the New York State Office of Real Property Tax Services.  The appointee to this position must reside in Herkimer County at the time of and throughout the appointment.
